The FM antenna can be seen at the top. The radiation center was only 180 feet above average terrain, although it could have been licensed at 300 feet. The new FM tower (see separate gallery) was built much later in order to optimize the FM coverage. Tower 4 was spaced 135 degrees on a 286-degree bearing from tower 2, giving the daytime pattern an hourglass shape with roughly northeast and southwest lobes.
